ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The five remaining defendants in the historic YSL trial were in court on Tuesday, with one of them accepting a plea deal.
Christian Eppinger, Miles Farley, Damekion Garlington, Demise McMullen and Tenquarius Mender were among the 28 people indicted in May 2022. Farley took a deal.
Prosecutors said they would like to start the trial for the rest on Feb. 24, 2025.

The trial centered around famed rapper Young Thug, who was accused of co-founding a violent street gang complete with murders, shootings and carjackings. He pled guilty to several charges, including participation in a criminal street gang and three violations of Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act, and was released from jail to serve 15 years on probation.

Several defendants, including the rapper Gunna, had accepted plea deals before the trial began, and prosecutors dropped charges against others.
The five remaining defendants were charged with a slew of crimes in the indictment, ranging from murder for all but Mender to participation in street gang activity and violation of Georgia’s racketeering act.
